this past week i had one of those days that me and my friend mariah would refer to as a VD, or a "vodka day". meaning, if we weren't mormon and this day had occurred, we probably would have resorted to alcohol. or in other words, it was just a really really crappy day. so many things were stressing me out this week*coughchemistry/boys/math/boyscough* and there was one specific day where it all just kinda built up. it was one of those days where no matter how hard i tried just to change my attitude and tell myself it was a good day, or how many lil pep talks i gave myself in my head, nothing seemed to get better. for example this is probably what the inside of my head sounded like: "okay just forget about it and smile, you are so blessed and you can.. "*trips down stairs and lands flat on face*--true story… anyway, so as you can tell it was probably the worst day of high school i've evverrr had. (i really love you if you actually read this whole rant) enough with the depressing stuff..
BUT i'm a firm believer that every story has a happy ending, some way, some how...
and let me tell you NOTHING helps a girl bounce back from a crappy week better then a "girls night(s) out", or a GNO. (this particular weekend we went up north with our team to play in a volleyball tournament and a couple friends came along to cheer) just imagine this: 8 girls in a big black burb, dancing theirs little boootys off to a particular song called "ugly heart" by GRL, as well as every song ever created by fergie and gwen stefani. (also i would like to personally thank gwen stefani for teaching me how to spell "bananas", it has saved me on many occasions)
this was our first tournament of many this year and it was a good way to kick the season off!
we partied the whole way up.
(crappy iphone pics sorry not sorry)
when we finally got to mariahs grandma's house it was around 10:00 pm, and someone suggested we go to bed so we could play good in the morning… HAHAHA they obviously didn't know how we roll on these kinda trips because i think by the time we actually got to bed after lots of pillow talk, a confession session, and high school musical 3, it was past 2:00…oops.
needless to say, our team played great at the tournament and got second in the silver bracket. (2nd 2nd place?) on on the way home we enjoyed even more deep conversations, shed a few tears (it wasn't just me ok geez), agreed that boys are dumb, and thought of some good date ideas (how ironic).
as a result of this amazing trip.. i have completely healed from the physical and emotional trauma of my sophomore year VD. lolol.
you're welcome for this extremely-cheesy-yet-true post.
xxo
