last night was one of those typical high school nights, the kind of night that i will never get sick of. me and mariah have volleyball practice on friday nights, so we can never go to any of the basketball games. but tonight, it was a wednesday home game so we could go! it was a "prep-out" (you were supposed to dress kinda like the chicks from that movie clueless #dhillsprobs) and you can bet your bottom dollar we were there and cheering our heads off (which kinda made me nostalgic for the volleyball season). it is simple, yet crazy, nights like these that i think i'm going to miss most when high school is over. there's something about being surrounded by your peers, cheering on your team, dancing when the music comes on at half time, & booing the refs that is just irreplaceable. i had one of those moments during the game (random i know) where i just looked around me and realized how blessed i was. i was surrounded by friends who genuinely loved and cared about me. i love high school. other highchool staples that surprisingly make me the happiest girl in the world include: driving with the music way too loud in crappy cars with no AC, taking tons of pictures, solving girl drama, friday night games, & spending all your money on food. gotta love it.. cheers to being a teenager!
