CONFRENCE IN THE CANYON

this sunday for we drove up to our little condo in brainhead. the leaves are absolutely stunning up there right now, and the weather was beautiful as well, add conference into the mix and it made for a perfect weekend.

and i mean i guess this song added too... who knew classical music could be good?

HOMECOMING YAYA

*cue high school musical prom song*

HAHAHAHA

school dances are such a big deal in utah and i love it. homecoming was soooo fun! 

when i got asked it took me 3 HOURS TO FIND THE NAME. that's right, for 3 hours, i had no idea who was taking me to the dance. ummm,,, ya i don't have that kind of patience.

sidenote: i also discovered i was allergic to hay.

BUT IT WAS WORTH IT
we looked great and had an even greater time.

THINGS THAT DON'T SUCK

it's monday, which is hard. 

especially when you just got back from a girls trip and you'd rather be still head banging to spice girls then trying to understand physics...

but, here are some things that don't suck.

+RAIN. enough said.

+the blind side. it is the best movie since the lizzie mcguire movie. (okay so maybe it's a lot better) it's just one of those movies that leaves you feeling like you could run a marathon or raise a kid or something. also, sandra bullock is SO GOOD. but maybe i'm biased cause i love her more than my
future children.

+boots. so grateful it's boot season again. i would wear my favorite pair everyday if it was socially acceptable, but oh wait i do anyway.

+my spot. everyone should have a spot. the spot where i took the picture at the top is my spot. i go there every chance i can get to watch the sunset or just sit and think. if i ever go MIA, check my spot.
 i'm gonna stop saying spot now, i feel like cruella deville.

+candles that last a long time.
 ooh ooh, speaking of candles, volcano no. 6 is by far my favorite smell in the entire world.
can we talk about it??

+target.  but let's be real, i always like target. forever 21 and asos and jcrew are all kinds of great, but target will forever and always be my favorite store. their notebook line is soooo cute right now.
 also, if you want to have a blog, your favorite store has to be target. it's in the handbook.

+THE SKY. everything about it just makes me so happy. the clouds, the stars, sunrises, sunsets.
all of it. looking at a stunning sunset gives me the same feeling i get when i look at a hot boy.
("woooooaahhh", butterflies, and a maybe a happy tear for good measure. you know the drill.)

+christmas music.. too soon? whatever. mariah carey and micheal buble's christmas albums never get old. oh, and don't forget JB.

+my new blog url. cause dang she trendy. HA.
just kidding, the 3 l's thing (powell) was just making me uncomfy. kind of like how the word uncomfy makes everybody uncomfy.

+nail polish…woah.
was it just me or did this shift to a fashion blog faster then you can say "link in bio"??
all blogger stereotypes aside, my life really does feel so much more together when my nails are painted. oh, and when i kind find my keys… i've lost them way too many times in the past week.. heh.

+my cute grandma. the older she gets the more respect i have for her. not like the i-respect-you-as-a-human respect, but the kind where my cartoon eyes get 3x bigger and i sit down and listen when she starts telling "when i was a girl" stories instead of escaping while i still could like when i was younger.

+the fact that i dropped AP history. i am currently feeling zero stress and loving life.
 i'll show you, junior year.

+all the acoustic covers of trap queen. all of them.

thats all. well actually, i could go on.. but my sarcasm is getting out of hand so i'll spare you.

alright this is starting to sound like an obituary, lol. but don't worry he's alive and well. really well, actually. 

he's going to have a great mission on tropical islands.

he'll wake up early every morning,

and probably wear sandals 24/7,

and be taller then everyone around him,

and eat a lot

and maybe even get fat.

and best of all, he'll be preaching the gospel.

again, what more do you need in life, really?

THE SUBWAY

this past weekend, me and my fam scored a permit for a beautiful hike in zion national park they call "the subway"

it was soooo cool.

both literally and metaphorically.
like, the water was literally 0 degrees.

but hey, it was worth it, just take a gander at these high quality unedited iPhone pics to give you an idea of how breathtakingly gorgeous it was.
